I'm Charlotte Hamilton! I'm a Certified Life Coach for moms without moms, a wife, mother and grandmother. I have three daughters and three grandchildren (one grandson and two granddaughters). As an extrovert, besides having an outgoing personality, I love meeting and talking to people.
Being the oldest of three girls was challenging especially sense we were not raised by our parents. When I was three years old, I had a tragic accident. I fell out of a window of our four-story apartment. Although no one conferred my though, I believe my parents divorced sometime after my accident. We were raised by our maternal grandparents.
When I became a teenager, my mom came to live with us for a while. Sometimes my mother would become violent, which caused problems throughout our lives. Her condition was never discussed with my sisters and I. We did not understand why our mom's mood would change from kind and calm to mean and violent. I discovered when I became an adult that my mom was schizophrenic. Being the oldest and living under these conditions caused me to be very protective of my sisters. I became a coach then but did not know it. My sisters would share their thoughts, feelings and concerns with me all the time. They would even have their friends talk to me about their challenges or concerns as well.
The older I am, the more I have experienced the joy of helping other women as I listen to what they share with me, and we talk about their options.
I believe as women we can help each other heal and grow through our own personal experiences. As a motherless mom, I am inspired to help other moms without moms.
